OVERVIEW:

The Image Processor/Document Scanner is responsible for maintaining accurate data on all activities related to the capturing and scanning of all incoming claims, correspondence, and attachments.  Ensures quality controls of images are up to corporate standards. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Ensures all incoming claims and / or correspondence received are prepped according to department guidelines .
  • Must have high attention to detail.
  • Must be able to handle, interpret and process information in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to analyze the content of an envelope to identify what Business area/work type it belongs to and be able to prepare the documents according to the area’s requirements.
  • Must be able to handle and process highly secured and confidential documents and be able to work under pressure.
  • Performs scanning and quality control of documents with high speed document scanning equipment.
  • At times may need to validate documents or upload emails.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of the scanners, communicating any concerns to the Team Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Requires knowledge of scanning records.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to manage fluctuating volumes of work.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to recognize a wide variety of documents.
  • Able to switch between tasks quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be able to maintain a high-performance level of preparing claims.
  • Must demonstrate strong skills in verbal communication and high attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have excellent time management skills to ensure scanning is completed on schedule.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment or independently.
  • Flexible, accountable, collaborative, innovative and likes challenging work.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and office equipment is required.
  • Must be able to lift heavy file boxes up to 50 lbs.
